Aluminium recipients upcycled
Corset made of Coca-cola cans, by Manuel Albarran
Aluminium waste resulting from beverages and other products is a global problem. When this metal is exposed to fire or alkaline water (often present in municipal solid waste landfills), it spills many toxic agents into the environment.
But some say "it is not waste until you waste it", like the costume designer and artist Manuel Albarran, who upcycles discarded materials in some of his creations. In this case he produced an awesome corset using 72 empty Coca-cola cans. Bravo Manuel!
